Don Buttrum - Owner/President

Donald Buttrum is a native of Arizona. He has spent most of his life working and building in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Don graduated from Northern Arizona University after a few years defending our country in the Army (Special Forces) where he learned the value of hard work and discipline.

It is a work ethic which is still with him today. While at NAU he played basketball for the Lumberjacks. Don was inducted into the NAU Hall of Fame for basketball and is the school’s all-time leading rebounder. Don graduated with a degree in Accounting. Upon graduation, Don Started working in construction in Flagstaff where he built 3,000+ single family homes as well as commercial business buildings. In 1996, Don and Roberta established Desert Truss, a Truss Plant for multifamily apartment complexes, single family homes and commercial projects. Roberta has overseen Desert Truss while Don continued building and investing in Maricopa County.

In 2013, Don visited New Braunfels Texas where he fell in love with the people and the area. He later moved and opened Buttrum Construction, Inc. in New Braunfels. Don continues to be actively involved with Buttrum Construction along with various other real estate investments such as D&R Self Storage and D&R River City R.V. Resort. Don has been and continues to be a success as a businessman, a father and a husband. He has touched many people and families with his constant dedication to friends, family, employees and community. Don strives to be the best at whatever he does and feels that you must give in order to receive. He and his wife, Roberta, have been happily married for 55 years.

Kathy Lookadoo - Office Manager

Kathaleen is committed to providing excellent customer service with one on one support from the initial meeting to handing over the keys. She has a passion for construction whether it’s a small or large project. She enjoys assisting with exterior and interior design to not only ensure a beautiful design but functionality.

Cliff Griffin - Construction Manager

Cliff is a lifelong resident of the Texas Hill Country. He began his career in construction as a trim carpenter over 30 years ago. He is personally committed to offering excellent customer service and superb construction. “Building a home can be the most difficult time for our customers and I want to ensure that they can feel at ease they are getting a Quality Built Home.”
